Crackdown on pharma freebies: New panel formed to curb unethical marketing tactics

Pharma marketing panel: Centre establishes a high-level committee led by Dr M Srinivas to examine regulatory frameworks and curb unethical practices among pharmaceutical companies and healthcare professionals in India within two months. The Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilisers has formed a committee to examine the existing regulatory framework governing pharmaceutical marketing practices and recommend measures to strengthen oversight, monitoring and enforcement mechanisms to reduce unethical practices in the pharmaceutical sector.
